Mini Skid Steer & Mini Excavator Financing

Equipment loans for Yellow Jacket mini skid steers and mini excavators. Businesses and individuals both qualify, and attachments can go on the same contract.

How Financing Works

What We Offer

Equipment loans through our lending partners. Fixed payments, and you own the machine outright at the end. That's how nearly every Yellow Jacket leaves here.

New and used equipment both qualify, and attachments can go on the same contract as the machine.

What we don't do: rent-to-own or lease-to-own. Those structures cost more in total than a financed purchase, and we'd rather put you in front of a lender.

Terms

Down payment. Often none. If your file places with one of our tier-one lenders, most deals are written with nothing down. A thinner credit file or a newer business is more likely to need money down.

Early payoff. Most of our lenders allow it. Prepayment terms vary, so if paying it off early is part of your plan, say so before you sign and we'll confirm the terms with the lender.

Attachments. Financed on the same contract as the machine. Most owners spend more on attachments over a machine's life than they planned to, so it's worth deciding up front rather than paying for them separately later.

Rates and term lengths are set by the lender and depend on your file, the machine, and the amount financed. You'll have them in writing before you sign anything.

Who Qualifies

Businesses and individuals both. You don't need an LLC, a business tax return, or two years of filings — we work with lenders who write consumer paper as well as commercial.

Credit. For heavy equipment, lenders generally want to see 550 or better. That's a starting point rather than a guarantee. Score is one input; time in business, revenue, and down payment all move the decision.

If your credit is rough, there are usually still options — but be realistic about size. A weaker file typically gets approved for less rather than turned down outright, and a cosigner with stronger credit is the most effective fix. Financing with challenged credit →

The Application

Most decisions come back in 30 minutes to an hour — as long as the application is complete. Missing information is what turns a same-day answer into a three-day one, so give the lender everything they ask for the first time through.

Tell us which machine you're looking at and we'll get the application in front of the right lender.

The Payment vs. Rental Math

The comparison most buyers are actually making.

Rental: a day rate, plus attachment charges, plus delivery, plus fuel, plus your time picking it up and returning it. And rental availability is tightest exactly when demand peaks — spring landscape season, snow events, storm response.

Financed purchase: a fixed monthly payment, the machine available whenever you need it, no attachment rental, and an asset with resale value at the end.

Rough math: divide the purchase price by your local daily rental rate to find your break-even day count. Most contractors are surprised how few days it takes.

Tax Considerations

Businesses purchasing equipment may be eligible for accelerated depreciation deductions under IRS Section 179 and bonus depreciation provisions. Limits, phase-outs, and eligibility change with legislation and depend on your situation.

We're not tax advisors. Talk to your accountant before making a purchase decision based on tax treatment, and confirm current-year limits — they change.

Financing by Buyer Type

Contractors and businesses — standard equipment financing, with the machine itself serving as collateral. Most established operations qualify readily.

Homeowners and individuals — yes, and it's worth saying plainly because a lot of equipment sites are vague about it. You don't need a business entity. Consumer applications go to lenders who write that paper.

Farms, municipalities, and rental fleets — tell us how you buy and we'll match the application to a lender who works that way. Public entities often have to land inside a fiscal year; raise it early and we'll plan around it.

FAQ

What credit score do I need?

For heavy equipment, lenders generally look for 550 or better. That's a starting point, not a guarantee — the rest of the file matters too.

Is there a down payment?

Sometimes, but often not. Deals that place with one of our tier-one lenders usually go through with nothing down.

How long does approval take?

Usually 30 minutes to an hour, provided you've given the lender everything they asked for. Incomplete applications are what create the delays.

Can I finance attachments too?

Yes — on the same contract as the machine.

Can individuals finance, or is it business only?

Both. We work with lenders on the consumer side as well as the commercial side, so you don't need a business to qualify.

What if my credit isn't great?

There are usually options, though typically for a smaller amount. A cosigner with stronger credit is the most reliable way to open up a larger approval. More →

Is rent-to-own available?

No. We don't offer rent-to-own or lease-to-own.

Can I pay it off early?

With most of our lenders, yes. Confirm the prepayment terms before you sign.

Do you finance used equipment?

Yes. Our lenders finance used equipment as well as new, though every machine we sell is new.
