Yellow Jacket Warranty Coverage

Warranty coverage, terms, and how claims work on Yellow Jacket mini skid steers.

Yellow Jacket machines carry a two-year limited parts warranty, confirmed in writing with your quote. This page covers what that means, what is typically excluded across the category, and the steps that protect your coverage on any machine, whoever built it.

Coverage

Two years, limited, on parts. The full list of covered components and the labor
terms come with your quote and in the documentation that ships with the machine. If you want them before you buy — and you
should — ask us and we will send them.

One distinction worth understanding before you compare any two brands: the engine is often
covered by the engine manufacturer rather than the machine builder. Kubota and Yanmar both
run their own warranty programs with their own service networks. That is usually an advantage,
because it means engine coverage is honored at any authorized engine dealer rather than only
through the machine builder.

What Is Typically Not Covered

These exclusions are close to universal across the category, and they are worth knowing whichever
brand you buy: normal wear items (tracks, cutting edges, teeth, filters), consumables, damage from
misuse or overloading, damage from running attachments outside their specified flow range, neglected
maintenance, and modifications.

Protecting Your Coverage

Regardless of the specific terms, these apply across the industry:

  • Follow the maintenance schedule and keep records. Neglected maintenance is the most common warranty denial reason across all manufacturers. Receipts and a log protect you. Maintenance schedule →
  • Match attachments to the machine's hydraulic specs. Running an attachment outside its flow range damages both the attachment and the machine's hydraulic system, and that damage is generally not covered. Attachment compatibility →
  • Do not exceed rated capacity. Overloading damage is typically excluded. What rated capacity means →
  • Match breakers to carrier weight. A breaker sized for a heavier machine transmits impact loads into the loader arms and mounting plate. More →
  • Keep the serial number and purchase documentation.
